Papa John's Cinnapie

This is one that I really want to try. Right now Papa John's is offering a free Cinnapie with purchase of a Large 2-Topping pizza for $11.99. Cinnamon is right up there with chocolate when it comes to desserts and especially dessert pizzas. I really recommend trying a Flat Stromboli at Pizza Inn or getting the Streusel pizza at Godfather's (I really miss their buffet in Paducah, but that's another story).

Back to the Papa John's Cinnapie, I really want to try one. Although in doing a little bit of internet research it's looking like I may be let down.
Here's a picture of what Papa John's ads make it look like:

and then here is a picture of what it actually looks like. Notice the pencil for size referencing:

This thing costs $3.99 if you get it by itself, and a version labeled "Cinnapie w/Extra Icing" goes for $4.74.

If anyone has tried this, please let me know what you thought in the comments section.

KFC Popcorn Chicken Deal

Right now KFC has a deal going on with their delicious popcorn chicken. You can get a box of popcorn chicken with a side of potato wedges for $1.99. There are also a couple of other choices including three hot wings or one drumstick. Of course both include the potato wedges for $1.99.

A Delight In D.C.

I've been slacking some on this blog, and for that I apologize. My wife and I had been pretty busy getting all of our ducks in a row for our vacation to Washington, D.C. It was a great trip, although our nation's capitol is not a place for eats on the cheap. That said there is one place I have to endorse.

If you're making a trip to the East Coast, and you have a chance to eat at a Five Guys Burgers and Fries, don't pass it up. I ordered the "Little Hamburger", and let me just say that it was anything but little. I don't want to imagine what the bigger burgers are like. Anywho, the burger was great. The fries were awesome! Get the regular order. It's pretty bountiful. The fries come in Five Guys style, which were really good, and Cajun (I'm not a fan of spicy fries, so I didn't try them). This is a chain in D.C. and parts of the east coast. If you're near one, treat yourself.
